Installed both the x64 patch and x3100 x64 patch for macbook 4. Just want to check if the Intel GMA X3100 64-bit kexts files. HELP OS X 10.7.5 not loading kext.

This is a hardware compatibility list for portable computers. We want to keep it as accurate as possible, but please, do not entirely rely on this list when buying a portable computer. Don't forget to add how you got OSx86 running on your portable x86 computer, and to use proper English. Please see the discussion page for proper instructions on how to input your system specs. Also, please contribute to the HCL 10.7.0 page, which should list a more granular view of compatibility. If your computer isn't listed, you should try it if you have a SSE2 or higher processor. Use vanilla kernel if it is supported.

• ONLY add hardware that you have TESTED. Don't add hardware just because you think it might work.

• Install Method: Changed the name of the thumbdrive to Mac OSX Base System and patched with nawcom's mbr patch http://www.osx86.net/view/1526-mbr_patch_10.7.0_11a511_updated.html After installing, install PS2controller kexts(Important). That fixed my graphics resolution and internal touchpad and keyboard.
• Bootloader: Chimera
• Kexts: Download from http://www.osx86.net/view/1266-acer_aspire_4741g_lion_10.7_kext.html . Install with Kexthelper.
• Issues: Wifi does not work. Cannot wake up from sleep.
• Others: I prefer that you do not set the password on first boot. In case you forget to install PS2controller, you can still install it with multibeast without password. Install macdrive on Windows to edit Mac OS X in Windows in case you accidentally installed the wrong kext.

• Install Method (Later upgraded to 10.7.1 with no problem): Apporx. used http://geeknizer.com/install-mac-os-lion-10-7-on-pc-hackintosh/ and if you are installing in MBR partition, you need to find modified OSI Install package. I used Chameleon as a boot loader instead of iBoot. Again, I roughly followed this guide as I gained expertise after installing it more than 5 times :D
• Bootloader: Chameleon (installed with version 755 but now using Chameleon-2.1svn-r1446 (also tested 1565) and it helped my graphics card working)
• Kernel: Vanilla 64-bit mach_kernel and extensions.
• Kexts: most of them downloaded from kexts.com
• Issues: screen goes blank when connected to external HDMI monitor (my TV in this case).
• Other: DSDT is required for a good bit. I extracted DSDT from my Win 7 and Mald0n helped me to fix errors (Thanks Mald0n).
• Remember to back up once you have running Lion so you don't ruin it after some changes. I used Carbon Copy Cloner. It makes image of your system and in the event of any mishap you can clone the image within no time.

Installed on a MBR boot partition as I already had Win 7. I used modified OSI Insall package for MBR to be able to install under MBR. I did clean install using USB drive. I made install package in one USB thumb drive and installed Chameleon boot loader in another USB drive. After installation, it did not detected my keyboard and touchpad so I had to use a usb mouse and followed this tutorial to make my keyboard work.Fix you keyboard if it is not detected

• Install Method: Lion install from DVD created with 'MAC OS X Lion Installer DVD Maker.pkg'. Post install with MultiBeast 3.8 to 4.2.1 selecting EasyBeast Install, System Utilities and various Kexts. You'll need a USB Keyboard/Mouse for installation.
• Bootloader: Chimera 1.4.1 r877 (from MultiBeast).

• The performance is really good, and I would highly recommend this laptop.

• Install Method: Use MaLd0n's USB Lion installation guide to install Lion via USB. In addition to that, install voodoops2 to the USB stick, also boot with '-v GraphicsEnabler=Yes AtiConfig=Hoolock' if you have a 768p screen, and just '-v' if you have a 1080p screen.
• Bootloader: Use latest version of chameleon.
• Kernel: Full 64-bit Vanilla Kernel.
• Kexts:[1]. Kext pack for Dell Studio 1558. [2] Updated AppleHDA kexts.
• Issues: Sleep and HDMI audio are still being worked on. With HDMI audio being much more likely to have a solution first.
• Other: .

• Overall performance with 4GB ram is good, from time to time unexpectedly freeze with mouse moving (seems to be Lion bug) e.g. after new tab in browser especially Chrome.
• After restart sometimes VoodooHDA kernel panic, needs another restart to boot normally.

• Install Method: MaLd0n method [4] with Chameleon RC5 and standart kernel.
• Kexts: After install use E.D.P kext pack [5].
• Issues: HW works all perfect, only need some Lion's patch, maybe next update.

• Keyboard/Trackpad (2 Finger Scrolling)/Multimedia front key : Works. 2 Finger for secondary click works with Voodoo PS2 Controller And Trackpad kext
• Sound : Sigmatel 9200 : Works using Voodoo HDA kext
• Wireless : Intel 3945 a/b/g - Doesn't work ( Replace with Dell 1505 Draft-n / Use USB Wireless Dongle - Asus USB N 10 tested)
• Bluetooth : Works out of the box.
• RICOH 3 in 1 Card Reader : Works.
• Power management : Works
• ShutDown/Reboot : Works. (sleep and wakeup working as well. until SL it never worked !!! Note : Do not add SleepEnabler )
• Kext/patch used : Multibeast( with EasyBeast option), 32bit boot, BCM440kext, patched Framebuffer, Voodoo PS2 Controller +Trackpad kexts.

Note : System is fully functional and more responsive than SL10.6.8.

After installation reboot and enter these flags : '-v GraphicsEnabler=No -x -f' and install Multibeast (I used DSDTPatcherGUI to make DSDT.aml for User multibeast install, selected VoodooHDA, PS/2, FakeSMC, AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement, Chimera and MacPro 8,1 model)

• Chipset: Intel HM67
• Bootloader: Chimera 1.5.4
• Processor: Intel Core i3
• Audio: IDT Audio Codec (using voodooHDA 2.7.3 preferencePane works)
• Video: Intel HD Graphics 3000, works native
• Ethernet, Wifi, and Integrated Camera: All tested and work fine (Need an Atheros AR5B95 kext for the wireless)
• USB 3.0: Working fine, same for the USB 2.0 port
• HDMI, External VGA Port, Card Reader: works, no audio for HDMI tho
• Trackpad: Working but only with single touch
• Battery: Working using AppleSmartBatteryManager
• Sleep works with SleepEnabler.kext from Nawcom's blog

=> Note: the hard drive must be formatted as GUID to succeed the installation, Athreos WiFi only connects to G routers w/WPA2 Personal and wake from sleep to connect!

• All work good, like in Snow Leopard. One problem, BIOS reset after sleep, RTC kext need to patch binary but i think it doesn't matter.
• Full working in 64-bit mode
• Speedstep, hpet,lpc, smbus, bt sleep and fixes in dsdt
• Geekbench: 4000, xBench: 220
• Its guid works only with Clevo M860TU with nVidia GeForce 9800GTS. If you have some graphics card, you need to delete or correction GFX0 section in my DSDT or use GraphicsEnabler/NVEnabler

Warning:Update you BIOS to latest for chipset AHCI support.[14]

Audio working with VoodooHDA. Sleep failed for me via SleepEnabler.kext. The keyboard and the mouse require ApplePS2 kext, for install use usb mouse and keyboard. Webcam works. HDMI(w/o audio) and vga work. Battery try VoodooBattery next. Bluetooth hadn't tried.

• Battery: Working with VoodooBattery. Set Quircks = true in the Info.plist.

Needed npci=0x2000 to boot, needed older VoodooHDA for audio. Sleep doesn't work. Needs VoodooPS2 post-install - Internal keyboard/mouse worked fine for install, but didn't after installing until I installed VoodooPS2. GraphicsEnabler=yes works for QE/CI.
