After so many years (probably 20 years ago).. Still the best one I've ever read!
Few months ago when my daughter accidentally bought the cd, the memory came through, I still could not manage to forgot my feeling of this very touching love story.
Candy - Terry, that's my favorite story. That love never give up, but love also, never being selfish to others.
But guess what, I'm still somehow, waiting for the true ending of the story, and wishing they'll be together again.. someday....more

Absolutely LOVE this series!!!! I watched it on TV and read it as a little girl in the 70's and read it over and over as I got older.. I have the whole series in Korean. I wish there were copies in English so that my daughters can read them. The story is heart-wrenching. I've always wished for a happier ending, but nevertheless, it's an excellent read!!!

Candy is adorable. I used to watch the series, but the most enjoyable part for me was reading her story and trying to imagine the characters' voices.
The illustration is simply beautiful, the pictures were so lively full with
bright colours. The heroes' expressions were unique and what pleased me most were their grimaces, which expressed a variety of emotions. Just by looking at them you could easily understand the heroes state of mind.

I was a little child when I first watched these TV series in my country. At the same time the manga-comic book was released, which now I have downloaded because noone could ever think they would become a classic must have! Everything we were supposed to learn and be as children is within Candy's story. Innosence, love, friendship, values, virtues. the story of a girl who overcomes all the obstacles by being patient and believing in other people's love. I watched the cartoon in 1999 on TV. Then I read the comic book in about 2003 -- curious whether the written version was much better or the opposite.
I can say that Candy Candy is NOT a children book. It is a love story between Candy and Antony. They even got married, didn't they? Please correct me if I am wrong.

This is a very sad book as I cried while reading this book. It is about this girl who lives a hard life from the orphanage to a very cruel person who adopted her and gave her a hard life. It is an amazing story and I want to recomend this book to everone who likes sad stories.

Good memories with this one. I watched the show and read the manga. I'm still in love with Terrence Granchester. Now I'm just waiting for the translation of the Final Story either to English or Spanish to lay it to rest. Either way, I'm sure that Anohito is Terry! ;)
